Whiteladies Road (2018)

The contract was for a main contractor Pollard Builders to construct 2 houses to match the adjacent Georgian buildings.

More Information

This project was carried out for Pollard Builders of Bridgwater. All the natural stone was manufactured in our factory just outside of Bath using a locally mined stone from Limpley Stoke mine.

The super structure was a metal frame building clad with natural Bath stone. The facade of the building was sawn architectural masonry which was an exact match to the original buildings adjacent to the build.

All completed on schedule and to budget.

More Information

We had first been employed directly by the client to construct a new garden wall, which consisted of carrying out all the groundworks/foundations, the buff coloured blockwork to one side and Stoke Ground Bath stone to the other face.  Following the completion of the wall and a few months later, we were then employed by a Main Contractor to construct the stone and blockwork for the new extension.

Small Projects

Bridge - After

Pack Masonry undertake many smaller projects. These can range from a portico construction to a bridge restoration.

When we use the word ‘small’ we don’t necessarily mean these projects are technically easy. Many of them required us to incorporate new stonework in sympathy with an existing design and materials.

All projects needed careful structural analysis.

Portico Creation – Before and After

Bridge Repair

Following a vehicle colliding with the bridge and a full structural report being made, we were asked to reproduce the damaged stone and reinstate the salvaged and new stone along with the brickwork, once a full traffic management system had been put in place.
